P2P Payment probes provide Peer to Peer Payment data and blockchain parameters events to FINSEC Data Collector via its DC APis.
Each event is analysed as a single event or correlated with others by FINSEC platform in order to identify possible cyber-security treats related to Peer-to-Peer payments solutions and blockchain infrastructure.
The P2P Payment probe includes a set of software modules (Figure below) and generates events to FINSEC Data Collector, with P2P payments data and blockchain specific parameters.
P2P Pay module collects information on Peer-to-Peer payments exchanged by end-users, using blockchain network and their commercial banks as technical intermediaries. The P2P Pay module is used for detecting attacks and exploring security issues related to P2P Payment solution by analysing the behaviour of payer, payee and payment data sent on blockchain.
P2P Pay Module is able to:
- analyse and predict abnormal payer and payee behaviour e.g. location, (anomaly detection and predictive analytics)
- correlate with pilots’ end users
- analyse complex cyclical payments (via graph prediction)
- add mitigation features for managing P2P Pay probe and end user rate.
