RAE aims to provide the risk assessment for a target financial infrastructure at any time, both in qualitative and quantitative terms. The architecture of the Risk Assessment Engine consists of distributed applications based on Python and the framework Django which is supported by a PostgreSQL database and a RabbitMQ for exchanging messages. The Service API provided by the RAE includes all the endpoints required to provide the static information to the application and to request the results of the risk assessment reports. This subsection defines the endpoints, as well as the input and output parameters that should be managed to use this Service API.
More information on the Risk Assessment Engine (RAE) is available in the Securing Critical Infrastructures in the Financial Sector course.
Innovation
The RAE for finance is versatile in the incorporation of risk models. Moreover, it supports the FINSTIX model in terms of the inputs that it accepts and the outputs that it produces. Its flexibility and customization to the finance sector are its two main innovative elements.
